A product applied to protect the skin from ultraviolet light, indicating the degree of protection with SPF and PA.
What the term refers to
SPF is mainly an indicator related to UVB (reddening) and PA to UVA (pigmentation and ageing). UVA can have an effect even on cloudy days and indoors near a window.
Good to know
Applying less than the recommended amount makes it hard to expect the protection indicated. If outdoor activity is long, reapplying is recommended.
