Acne & Pores

여드름

A chronic inflammatory condition arising in the pores and sebaceous glands, appearing in various forms such as comedones, papules and pustules.

What kind of condition it is

It develops as increased sebum production, excess keratinisation at the pore opening, bacterial growth and inflammatory reaction become intertwined. In many cases it cannot be explained by a single cause.

Good to know

Even under the same name of acne, the approach differs depending on whether it is mainly comedonal or inflammatory. Squeezing lesions on your own can leave scars and pigmentation, so a consultation suited to the condition can help.
