The line running down from the corner of the mouth towards the chin, named for its resemblance to a puppet's mouth.
What the term refers to
It deepens as reduced volume around the corner of the mouth and tissue sagging act together. When the corners of the mouth look drawn downwards, the impression can appear downcast at rest.
