A state in which fine blood vessels near the skin surface have dilated so that they show through as red lines or a net-like pattern.

What kind of condition it is

It readily appears in areas where the skin is thin, such as around the nose and on the cheeks. Ultraviolet light, repeated flushing and a weakened skin barrier may be involved.
